Signs and Symptoms

Symptoms Awareness

For a nut allergy symptoms can include: hives or skin rash, itching or swelling around the face and inside of the mouth, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing, wheezing, swelling of the throat or tongue, dizziness or fainting, and more. In severe cases, a nut allergy can lead to anaphylaxis, which is a life-threatening reaction that requires immediate medical attention. If experiencing these symptoms after a known encounter with nuts or assumed encounter, do not wait to call help and administer epinephrine immediately.
